ESEL is a cross party, cross river partnership made up of all of the London boroughs in east and south east London.
Please see our launch brochure which gives summary of our key priorities.
We bring together our partners to agree sub-regional priorities, building advice and advocate and campaign for a transport system which supports the continued economic growth and regeneration of the area.
Transport improvements will be an essential part of maximising the Olympic legacy in East and South East London. We will have a strong voice in securing the transport necessary to realise the potential of the public investment made to date.
We know that a better transport system and faster journey times to central London are key for opening up Labour Markets, boosting trade and securing inward investment.
We also know that a good local transport network is critical for creating places where people want to live, and where local businesses can flourish.
We will promote a local transport system that links key centres of employment, leisure and retail, that supports walking and cycling and which has well designed interchanges which ensure accessibility for all.
The partnership is hosted by the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation . ESELTP includes London boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Greenwich, Hackney, Havering, Lewisham, Newham, Redbridge & Tower Hamlets.
